I had an incredible adventure in Antarctica aboard the MS Fridjtof Nansen with Hurtigruten Expeditions. Sharing this experience with loved ones made it even more special.
Reflecting on the trip, here are my top five favorite moments:
1. Witnessing the breathtaking beauty of Antarctica for the first time as we sailed through the Drake Passage, experiencing the calm waters of the "Drake Lake."
2. Being enchanted by the adorable penguins during our first landing on Cuverville Island and spotting various cold climate penguin species throughout our journey.
3. Exploring the Antarctic wildlife up close during Zodiac cruises, where we encountered whales, seals, penguins, and birds.
4. Embarking on a kayaking excursion in the Garden of Icebergs, paddling alongside penguins and seals, an unforgettable experience.
5. Taking the plunge into the icy waters off Deception Island, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that left us exhilarated and with official certificates to commemorate the daring feat.
If visiting Antarctica is on your bucket list, I'd love to help you make it a reality! Contact me to start planning your extraordinary journey to the seventh continent.
