I wanted to work for myself. I left the corporate world as a management consultant of nearly a decade to pursue my true dreams and passions, and I want to help you live yours. Today, I’m a licensed real estate agent with EXIT Realty and the owner of VS1 Travels, a travel planning company specializing in group travel and destination weddings.

We recently returned from our last trip which was in northern Michigan at Crystal Mountain - a 4.5 hour drive from Chicago where we held our Gagni Family Reunion with my extended family on my dad's side. There was about 70 of us Gagni's there - aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews - all celebrating our family and being together. There was so much joy mixed with some sadness, missing our two uncles that recently passed this year in addition to all our family we've lost throughout the years, but we felt like this weekend was long overdue and very much needed.
I booked our family 9 townhomes around a cul-de-sac where in the middle we shared a pool, two grills, a fire pit, and picnic tables. It was a perfect meeting spot for everyone to gather, cook, eat, play games, and just catch up.
We planned and coordinated our meals beforehand - who would cook and bring what and when (all the townhomes had full kitchens). We had a free afternoon where groups opted to go kayaking, canoeing, ziplining, mountain biking, swim at the pool, explore Traverse City and visit some wineries, or just hang out and catch up around the resort.
It was great having the chance to spend time with family, make new memories, and be excited to do it all over again next year, where we plan to change it up and go to Tennessee.
So if you have been wanting to do a family reunion, no matter how small or large the group, just do it! We do not know how long we have with each other and the memories and stories we have when we go on a trip last a lifetime. If you are interested in getting started, please feel free to call/text or email me!
